Tiscali have very slow connection speeds, lie to potential customers and cap without warning.
General Comments
When upgrading to a 512kbps broadband connection, I specifically asked if there were limits on the amount I could download and was told 'definitely not'. Recently, Tiscali capped (i.e. deliberately reduced the speed of) my connection for 'excessive usage'. My downloading averaged 107MB per day over a 44 day period. Excessive? Moreover, the capping was done without warning and Tiscali will not admit to it in writing.
Since the cap was removed, my speeds (and those of scores of others) are still slower than a 56k modem, but Tiscali customer services no longer reply to my emails.
