General Comments
We have just come back from Roquetas de Mar which appears to be one of the most popular up and coming resorts in Spain. We stayed in a private apartment in Palazzo Vivaldi which is built on a new development on the edge of Roquetas de Mar so it is relatively quiet. Although a private apartment, there was an agent on site who couldn't do more for us. The complex had a pool, gym, restaurant, even a medical centre and was totally secure. Even the locals were saying how nice the complex is. Despite being in a quiet area, it is close to shops and the tourist area and we loved strolling to the Harbour along the brand new promenade to the bars for our morning constitional! There is a brand new shopping complex only 5 minutes away and all the locals are very friendly. The Tourist area where you can find lots of bars (English if you want)is only a 50p bus ride away but we prefered the urbanisation area where there are lots of restaurants with good food. All in all a wonderful area - just right for people who need to relax. Our thoughts on places are whether we would go back or not - and we certainly would.
