Good Points

The Panasonic GD55 is a great little (or should I say mini) phone. Tiny, cute, excellent battery life, key pad easier to use than one might think and a relatively clear bright display. Looks and feels well made.

Bad Points

My biggest gripe is that the scheduler does not audibly or visually let you know when you have an appointment. Occasional reception problem, but could be carrier dependant.

General Comments

I am just a basic user of mobile phones. The things that are important to me is making/receiving calls, sending/receiving text messages, internet connectivity, (even if it's not GPRS which in this case it's not), alarm, calculator and some type of organiser. With the Panasonic GD55 I was not let down in any way whatsoever, except for one glaring omission and one minor gripe. The glaring omission is that the organiser (or scheduler) does not give you an audible warning at all. In other words, it's only a glorified to-do list. The minor gripe is that it does not allow you to put more than one number per person in the phonebook. To get around this, I have had to resought to Ray-M, Ray-H and Ray-W; Ray's mobile, Ray's home and Ray's work number. I have also had the occasional reception problem, but this could be carrier dependant. Now for battery life. I have never owned a phone that lasts so long between charges. I have had mine for 6 days and the battery charge indicator is still over half full. That's incredible!!! And remember that when you get a new phone, there is a lot of setting up to do with putting numbers in the phonebook, etc., not to mention the "novelty factor" which makes you fiddle with the phone more than you normally would.
So, if you don't use or need a properly functioning organiser (scheduler) and just require a basic phonebook, then go and buy one. You will not be dissappointed!!! Just be careful you don't lose it. It's that small and also very light and even though I'm male, very, very cute.
