They booked flight wrong time - no replace
Flew to Aberdeen from London in 2002 with return tickets. I was intending to help my friend who works at bar. So basically I was doing things in night time.
I had good time in Aberdeen. Then the day when I fly back to London I tried to check in at Aberdeen airport for 7pm flight. But I was told thay my flight was "7 AM"
I really didn't understand that my flight was gone 12 hours ago.
What they said was I didn't rember my flight right.
I actually booked my flight over the phone just the day before I leave London. So there were no reference paper or something with me. I just writed down on my notebook.
But I was sure I would never book my flight 7 in the morning especially after doing something in the pub until 2am. I knew I was going to help my friend at bar every night so I my body clock was totally night sift.
Because they didn't replace my seat on the missed flight,
I had to buy another single flight to London.
I called customer service center but they said
"the person who arranged your flight over the phone, he never made mistake. So we are sure that isn't his fault"
So what ? That must be his first mistake ever, then !
I actually booked this flight over the phone the day before I was leaving, I didn't receive any references - so there were no evidence with me but I did write it down on my notebook.
I was really disapointed by poor backup of them.
Customer should be respected and treated better like in U.S. They believe in Customer is always right Which I think we should really do it in UK.
Please let me say,
I am PAYING money for the products and service, I am not GIVING my money away !!
Recently, I found really helpful website which is about "Problems with goods and services -your regal right" which is provided by goverment.
