Good Points

Good looking with a strong (if a bit fiddly to build) stand with a smoked glass door and enough shelf space for all your boxes. Great picture and Dolby sound. Well laid out remote.

Bad Points

Only two scart sockets and poor teletext page memory.

General Comments

This TV has been around for a while now and is getting cheaper so it is well worth shopping around for a deal. The stand is a lovely thing when you have built it, but allow some time to do this. The set has auto tuning so no problems there and there is a postcode facility for future security. The centre dialog speaker is mounted in the top quarter of the stand and once the surround sound speakers are attached the set really excells and manages to give a good cinema style performance when watching DVD's etc. There are full on screen menus to change both sound and picture preferences and an auto wide screen mode which chooses the correct size picture. This is a 50Hz TV and has none of the anomilies associated with 100Hz models. All in all it does what it should very well and is a joy to use. I only wish it had 3 scarts and a better text system. Ah well..maybe next time!

Is this true Flat Screen or only a flatscreen tube? I keep reading different things....
