Bad Points

Some are Driving School Cars! AVOID!
Timing Chain is a weak point
Throttle Bodies give up regularly

General Comments

The Nissan Micra K10 GSX Nice Small Car
Comfortable
NO Timing Belt! It has a timing chain that needs absolute 6 month oil changes regardless of mileage or it cloggs and snaps - very expensive!
Parking Dents a Common Problem
Excellent 2nd car for the missus!
Good residuals if bought at the right price - beware dealers try for silly money, DONT pay them! Find a nice privately owned example and pay the right price, a dealer can ask £1000 more for an 8 year old model!! Dont be a mug!

i think your getting a little mixed up there matey lol your thinking of the k11 micra which has a timing chain the k10 has a belt and the throttle body on the k11 can be cured by a little bit of solder. the k10 has a hitachi twin choke carb. the k10 is a boxy car where as the k11 is the bubble shaped 1

The picture looks very much like a bubbly type car to me!?

Come on MrRee this picture is boxy.

But mr ree your review says about the k10 having a timing chain but it doesn't its a belt, i think i'd no this for two reasons:
    1: i own a k10
2:i served my time in a nissan garage

Lesmondo mate, our lass was after a nice little car, would you recommend a Micra, she'll only ever use it for the school run and to do the shopping and the like? Cheers lad.

The K10 is - as has been stated - the Boxy car from 1983 to 1993 - the picture above quite clearly shows the K11 'Bubbly' shaped car. My comments above refer to the K11 and not the K10. The picture threw me!
