Bad Points

grips don't fall into the right position easily. paintwork is easily scratched and you cannot repair it, Wilson don't do a retouch paint. Prehaps Wilsons huge aftermarket sales team will bring one out some time, but at the time of writing, they don't do one.


General Comments

The Wilson Deep Red 305cc is a Fabulous Driver. It hits the ball out of sight. I have added at least 100yds to my drive. It instills a sense of confidence - you really believe that you are going to hit a great shot every time. It's light and very fluid in the back swing and really accelerates in the down swing, and the large head gives a sweet "PLINK" when you hit the ball. The large head also makes hitting a good shot relatively easy. If it wasn't for the grips, which are great in every other way (really "grippy" but you don't know if they are sitting in your hands correctly) and the easily scratched paintwork, I would have no problems giving it 10 out of 10
