Good resolution with 6 automatic and 4 manual modes, hot shoe, easy and quick external selectors for feature settings, SLR feel and operation.
Images can turn out "soft", rather slow ... no real useful sequential mode and no movie mode (shots will be a couple seconds apart at best in hi resolution color mode)
I have found this HP Photosmart C912 digital camera excellent in both handling and image production, though I understand the true dyed-in-the-wool expert professionals will disagree. As a mere lay amateur consumer, I find the images, whether emailed, posted on the web, or printed on an HP Photosmart printer to be excellent. The manual mode allowing setting f/stop and shutter speed thrills me ... and, that i can attach my SunPak 610 flash to capture shots out to 50 feet is unbelievable .... To me that is the clincher ... this camera allows me to pretend that I am using a real SLR. I bought one on ebay for under $300 (USD) and have not regretted it one moment since ... One of my better buys in this "electronic revolution".
