E.J.L..'s Review of RWS RWS-93 .22
30th Jul 2002
Overall Rating
- Value for money

- Handling

- Accuracy

The gun shoots even the cheapest pellets accurately and the safety is well located and easy to use.
Bad Points
This gun does not come with a scope stop so the twangy recoil sends scopes right off the back and into the safety.
General Comments
The RWS-93 .22 airgun is a well balanced shooter even with a scope. The stock is a little thick on the forearm but is easy to get used to. The sights are good and the front has interchangable inserts. The hardwood stock is nicely finished and it comes with a padded butt stock. The gun groups perfectly on paper. The cocking is smooth and doesn't need much effort. This gun is well built, accurate, and great value.

Air guns - Pyramyd Air Report: Benjamin Marauder - Part 4
The rifle goes on sale from Crosman on April 22 and at the end of May from Pyramyd Air. If you have wanted to get into PCPs, and you have the money, I think the Benjamin Marauder is a great way to go!

Absolutely worthless, and I'm convinced that the not-so-bad RWS 93 results were a fluke. ... My Gamo CFX Royal (yes I said "ROYAL") in .22 cal came today and I am grinning ear to ear.

I haven't tested mine on paper targets, but have no problem with its accuracy shooting informal targets. It needed some heavy lube on the spring to reduce the twang and I had to do a bit of work on the trigger to lighten and smooth the pull, but it's a great gun for less than $120. Sure glad I dind't buy a Daisy/Winchester, and, dollar for dollar, i consider it a better deal than the model 94.
