Great games,
nice and compact,
reliable,
great scene,
multi purpose software.
Bad Points
The console has failed commercially,
no new games,
no future.
General Comments
It really is sad that Sega got everything right with regards the design of the Dreamcast console but got practically every wrong with regards to marketing.
This console is massively powerful, as can be seen in games like shenmue, msr, Quake 3, Jet Set Radio, Unreal and Half Life (if they didn't, can it be because it made the ps2 version look awful which was being released shortly after). The Dreamcast is a very clean design but at its heart it has a decent Hitachi risc cpu and a very decent powervr gpu. It's easy to program and capable of great results with a decent 640x480 resolution and anti-aliasing.
You can pick up a dreamcast now for absolute peanuts and the games for a few quid each. It's a total bargain and all I can say is buy one and enjoy great gaming on a shoestring budget.

I have recently bought a Dreamcast as I have always wanted one since they came out. Sega should have marketed it properly to allow it to compete with Sony and Nintendo, its powerful processor still gives it an edge over other consoles. Compared with the Playstation 2, I rather have a Dreamcast.
