Good Points

170hp from 1.6Lt From the factory - No mods! 2250Lbs, panel-van tail-gate (seat). Modifications ++++, easy to drive, tinker with.


Bad Points

8250rpm rev-limiter, weak engine mounts, only built late 91 - early 95 while Integra continued (same base platform)until 2001 -> ITR very competent at the end, imagine an EG Type R!!!!.


General Comments

The Honda Civic SiR is a true Hot hatch that did not need 2.0lt or a Turbo! It could compete in all categories with all similarly priced hot hatches on performance, price, practicality, brakes and handling. It still competes - look at the stats 10 years on. Clio sport, Golf VR6, Golf turbo - nothing comes close on the track or the street or the strip!
