I am really happy with this player. I can hook it up to my car ... the USB port is quick ... but the thing i love most is the fact that it is rechargable. It is hard to find a player that doesn't use AA/AAA batteries. I can even charge it in my car and it charges the full 10 hours in a couple of minutes. The music quality is great and the fact that i can put WMA songs on means that i have over 65 songs now on 128 megs and all at 64kbps.
A lot of the points above (except for the battery) are true for most new MP3 players out there now.
The upgrade memory backpacks are way too expensive ... $200 for another 128M is just too much as buying another rio800 costs less.
Overall i like the Diamond Rio 800 128Mb portable MP3 player and would recommend buying it. But it's the only MP3 player that i have ever owned and i don't really have that much to compare it to (in terms of quality of sound and usability and functionality).
