General Comments
I reluctantly bought this Sony DVP-NS305 DVD player from tesco after 3 dansai's none of which worked (must have been a bad batch). So far so good, even though i didn't want to pay £179.99 for a dvd. Plays all my dvd-r's even the cheap disks.

Sony DVP-NS305 region code - DVD Players and Blu-ray Players region
This hack worked just fine on my region 2 Sony DVP-NS305. I used a friend's Palm VX running OmniWare, which I assume is an OmniRemote emulation package.
