I have been left very disapointed and angry with the service i have receievd from habitat. Over these last few months i have spent over £1000 in habitat but i am now very reluctant to shop there ever again. You can get some beautiful things from there and great furniture but the hassle you have to go through and the way you are treat is totally not worth it. I orded a sofa, i was told it would be delivered in approx 4 weeks in store however it did say 6 weeks on my recepit. It has now nearly been 9 weeks and i havent heard a thing. Terms and conditions say that i should have recieved an email/telephone call or letter to tell me about the delay, i havent recieved anything. I have rang 5 times and staff were never interested in what i had to say at one point they said they were too busy to deal with it right now! They have told me they would ring me back and never did. They kept telling me they dont deal with the deliverys and literally were not taking any responsibility for my trouble. It wasnt untill today when i rang that somebody offered to ring the head office, they then said it isnt due for another week! I got told it was due 5th Dec abit back so i have little faith in this and dont really believe i will receive my sofa before christmas. I asked the manager at the York store if i could make a complaint, so i continued to tell her my experience and she again wasnt willing to take any responsibiity for the way i had been treat, and seemed to be, in my opinion, very on guard and argumentative. She said all she can say is sorry and that was the first time i had heard that word. I orded £700 worth of stuff from ikea the other week (im decorating my house) and the service i recieved there was perfect. They text you like 4 times upto your delivery to ensure tht it is convieniant for you and it took less than 2 weeks. Fantastic 5* stars for ikea unfortunatly a mere 1* for Habitat and that is because my sofa WHEN I GET IT is nice!!
