We had a good customer service experience at Windlesham garden centre where we purchased garden furniture consisting of a table and 8 chairs; it was an expensive purchase. We were offered a Saturday delivery which was great.
The day before the allotted delivery I received a phone call confirming that the delivery would be on the next morning and that I would receive another phone call to give me a 2 hour slot.
At 07:05am on Saturday morning I was woken up by a phone call to say that the delivery would be made between 7.30am and 9.30am. I was not best pleased. When I asked what the likelihood of his arrival in 25 minutes the very rude man on the phone with very broken English stated that it was his duty to give me a 2 hour slot. So I further asked where he was at that moment in order to get an indication of his likely arrival, he would not tell me, he simply informed me that he had 2 drop off before mine. When I asked him again where he was and whether he was likely to arrive at 7.30am, he arrogantly said 'madam I am 2 hours away' and hung up.
We were therefore unimpressed when he turned up 1 hour later to deliver the furniture at 8am.
I do now expect to spend over £2,000 to be woken up at some unearthly hour on a Saturday morning for the delivery by a very rude man.
I do not recommend that anyone purchase anything that needs delivering from Wyevale. You will not get a good service.
