“Totally misleading information”

written by Romeoy171 on 18/07/2017

I insured my second car through saga. This is a car used for classic car shows. I contacted the company to ask about modifications. I explained that wanted to fit four rally lights and some decals to create a homage to the rally cars of the period. I was told the decals were fine, but I could only fit two spotlights. I went ahead with the mods and informed the company. I even offered them a picture for their records and duly sent it to them. Imagine my surprise when they cancelled my insurance due to having decals on my car? This, despite them telling me it was OK.
It seems that if you are over 50 (I'm 62, by the way) it's alright to go on a Saga holiday including an African safari, but woe be tied if you want to drive something slightly modified, even if you haven't affected the performance in any way.
