I saw that Screwfix offered next-day Saturday delivery if ordered by 6pm, "Brilliant" I thought, it'll save me a trip to B&Q and I can get cracking with the decorating and since I was ordering over £100 it would be free delivery.
Waited in all day Saturday for it to arrive (beautiful sunny day), nothing. Sunday I get an email saying it would arrive on Monday. Since I work during the week this was very inconvenient and phoned customer service, I had to leave a note on the door to tell ParcelForce the delivery was declined and to return it. I re-scheduled the delivery for the following Saturday.
Again, waited in all Saturday for it to arrive (another beautiful sunny day), nothing again. Screwfix phoned me on Monday to tell me that Parcelforce had confirmed they hadn't delivered it and that it would arrive today (Monday!), I told them that I had waited two weeks for a "next day" delivery but she just sounded completely disinterested or under-trained in how to deal with a complaint, and just "oh well, hopefully it will come today".
The parcel finally did arrive, and of course I can't fault the products and price, but the whole purpose of ordering online was for the convenience factor, completely lost when their back-office and courier process can't deliver when they say they will. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Its been a huge waste of time (and money) since I had to goto B&Q and buy desperately needed items in the meantime...
