“Waste of time”

I contacted Gladstone Brookes over a PPI claim on a mortgage ....and quickly wished I hadn't. After supplying all the information, I needed to contact them and got caught up in a ridiculous recorded message, having to listen to meaningless stuff .... then the message ended! Tried this several times, with the same result, wasting time, effort and money to no effect.
Then the bank contacted me directly - and asked exactly the same questions I had answered for Gladsone Brookes. This was their job, they were going to get 25% of any payout and as far as I was concerned , they did nothing.
Received a letter from the bank, turning down my claim, followed by a pathetic letter from Gladstone Brookes with a tepid ' well, you could try to appeal ......'
Do not waste your time with these people. There are plenty of much better firms.
