“Watch the small print”

After my experience with Virgin Money I could not recommend this company for any financial product. Put simply I feel like I have been conned out of money. I took out a buy to let mortgage and found the stated 'offer' valid period affected the length of the discounted period of the mortgage. This means that if you accept the offer in March and like most mortgages do not complete the transaction for three months you will lose out financially as the discounted period clock starts to tick a lot sooner, so basically I got only 22 months discounted rather than what was advertised which was 2 years or 24 months.
This does not seem fair to me and hence I will never do any business with Virgin again. Financial Ombudsman are looking into it.
