I have just had a new conductor plate and gearbox service done on my MB R129 SL320. As DDR specialise in MB gearboxes, I found them to be very knowledgeable and professional. Most other gearbox places just wanted to swap out my box for a re-conditioned unit, this was not only unnecessary but also much, much more expensive!! These Guys know their MB boxes, they quickly diagnosed my problem and fitted new MB parts to resolve my issues. I can't recommend them more highly!
