“Thompson box seemed ok for a while (lst year) but...”

Thompson box seemed ok for a while (lst year) but since the digital changeover its been worse than useless, lulling you into a false sense of security allowing you to record but not playing back, just missed all the Christmas telly. We even changed T.V.s, rooms we watched it in, couch swops and decorated the front room instead of back to watch Xmas t.v. (getting a bit sad now I know!) I think we will have to put our hands in our pockets for another box any suggestions?
