STORTHES HALL STUDENT VILLAGE 2009/2010

I'm currently 19, and a first year student at Storthes Hall. The good points are as follows: You meet so many people so quickly, your flatmates, your coursemates flatmates etc. The rooms are massive compared to all the other universitys that I either looked round or have friends at. There are 2 shelves, a big wardrobe, 3 drawers and a storage draw under the bed. The en-suite wet room is great for both privacy and accessability. The kitchen is big enough with multiple fridge-freezrs, sinks, hobs and microwaves ad a table that seats 8. On site there is a shop, that is cheap and well stocked, an astroturf and grass pitches, a laundrette (£2.60 for a wash and dry) a gym and a cheap student friendy bar that holds themed nights aswell as has big tvs for the football and pool tables =)It's out in the country so it's very peaceful and the views from certain places are great. The bad points are: It's 4 and a half miles from campus so the 20min bus can drag, especially at rush hour when it becomes over 30mins (the bus is £5 for the whole year, and taxis are set at £5 back to halls after a night out). Some of the kitchens are dated, all working and simple, but reasonably old. The phone signal is REALLY bad,you get 3 bars on your windowsill but none in bed or anywhere else in the flat (except vodafone which is very good)
