General Comments
After only having the Webley Tempest .22 Air Pistol a few days I am feeling dissapointed. With the rear sight all the way up it still shoots low! This is due to poor design in the spring/piston powerplant. The spring is compressed towards the front sight and when released drives the piston towards the rear of the gun. This is opposite that of most guns which causes the gun to rotate forwards instead of the typical gun rotating backwards about the center of gravity. If a heavy enough pellet were used it may get better but it would still be noticable. Furthermore, the fore-end piece, which is held in place by a single roll pin located just in front of the trigger guard has developed stress fractures on both sides. This is also a design flaw. When cocking the gun a tremendous amount of force is applied to this roll pin! I see this as a serious issue which Webley should address! Check your guns for these cracks when the gun is cocked, they should be noticable on both sides!
