“The game is innovative. This is the first game I have...”

written by thespicycabbage on 19/03/2008

Good Points
1] Innovative - First Person Shooter using a stylus
2] Action packed

Bad Points
1] Severely unrealistic game play in my opinion.
2] Game too sensitive to touch pad at times and nonresponsive at other times

General Comments
The game is innovative. This is the first game I have seen for the Nintendo DS that uses a stylus to play literally "hands-on". The game is very action packed but at times becomes ridiculous.

For example: The player will move the stylus by lifting it up and placing it at a different point in the touch pad for faster and more convenient aiming. However, the game will regard this as initiating Aim Down Sight(ADS or Iron Sight). When in the middle of a firefight, this proves to be most aggravating. To add to this, at times disengaging Aim Down Sight can take many taps on the touchpad when it should take only 2.

The enemy also has an annoying habit of having almost unlimited health. Many times I have emptied 30 bullets into an enemy's torso only to have him shoot back at me after flinching.

What really got me excited about this game was the multiplayer. A player can challenge one or more players to a fight in several maps. The game gives a choice from a variety of weaponry and different game types. Although the multiplayer is great, it is still very lacking. The game types though fun in concept are only truly compelling when more than 2 players are engaging in multiplayer action. The player and other individuals can go on seperate Nintendo DS' but cannot play co-op missions together. To remedy this, the game should have enabled adding AI based enemies to the game.

All in all, this game is great but only if the player is bored.
