General Comments
I recently acquired the Webley longbow and it is an impressive airgun! Metal finish is highly polished and deeply blued and the (walnut) stock is absolutely beautiful. Cocking effort is slightly more than I anticipated but that's the trade-off for a carbine-length barrel. The gun fires strongly with just a quick snap and not spring twang. Accuracy was below par at first and after talking with the previous owner and dis-assembling the gun for inspection I found that the factory spring had a bit of a snug fit inside the piston cylinder. This not only slows the spring expansion down, but also torques the piston and THAT can cause inaccuracy! I replaced the spring with a McCarri Paladin spring and it eliminated the problem and the gun is now super accurate! If your gun is "underpowered" or less accurate than you think it should be, consider installing a slightly smaller OD spring. I've been told that some of the factory springs enlarge slightly as they take a set so you might not see any problem on a brand-new gun. By the way, during dis-assembly is when I came to appreciate the internal build quality...very impressive...best I've seen so far out of several airguns I've "home tuned" and it takes a lot to impress me...

I would rate this gun all 10's but for the fact that it is a bit pricy for some (still worth it IMO now that I've seen the build) and that cocking effort is a tad higher than other guns of similar power. Accuracy really is outstanding, no hold sensitivity and shoots a lot of pellets well and mine shoots Beeman FTS's so well it's scary.
