Bad Points
Whilst travelling to and from the Alps recently, there appeared to be a significant number of roundabouts that Garmina did not know existed. In congested Reims this did lead to confusion, frustration, wasted fuel and time. Who is responsible for updating?!
General Comments
Extremely user friendly. In general clear concise verbal instructions, backed by clear road map on screen. Device appears well made and durable. We have named our Nuvi 'Garmina'. She took us to the Alps and back avoiding the toll roads. More time taken but a much more pleasant journey. The money saved on tolls, paid for the sat nav. My wife was able to relax, instead of map reading and the projected time of arrival meant that we were able to plan our stops and still arrive in daylight. The route took us along mile after mile of D class roads passing through wonderful French villages. Much less tiring than the soulless motorways!
I was persuaded to purchase a sat nav by other peoples comments. I do not usually hanker after high tech gizmos but this is one device that I will be using and probably updating, especially as the system becomes more sophisticated and hopefully more interactive. The Garmin 250 is a tidy bit of kit and certainly worth buying.
