These outboards are not capable of sustaining a consistent idle speed when trolling. They go from a correct idle speed, to really quick and then suddenly drop revs so dramatically that they stall! They run OK at speed but are pretty noisy. Fuel economy is not much better than a 2 stroke. Had I known this outboard would not idle consistently I would not have purchased it!
