Stylish, cheap to buy, cheap to run. Head turner.
You really need to go over the bike and tighten the nuts and bolts occasionally cos they DO vibrate loose. While you're doing that, have a spray with WD40. The plating, chrome and paint is thinner than thin and it does make them prone to rusting if they don't see polish or oil regularly.
I've owned my nev for just over 12 months and LOVE IT! OK, it's retro styled and it needs retro care but that's part and parcel of ownership of something that ain't just 'another yamahonduki'.
The engine is an old bullet proof Honda single cylinder clone from the '70s. There are plenty of manuals out there if you need to do any serious work but most of the day to day stuff is straight forward and the Pioneer Nevada Owners Club website is full of helpful, knowledgeable folk who are only too happy to share their info. They've even called round and helped a few members out in person!
Regular washing and polishing pays dividends, as do regular engine oil changes.
