“What do you look for in a phone? Make and receive...”

Written on: 10/03/2003 by Tech Freak. (1 review written)

Good Points
This one is absolutely great! I mean what more can you ask for? This phone has everything.. and I mean everything! It is feature packed with goodies. I cant compare any other phone to this "SonyEricsson Wonder".

Bad Points
Has crashed once but nothing to worry about. It is correctable. I have seen that the reported system crashes are far less than in other phones.

General Comments
What do you look for in a phone? Make and receive calls, SMS, a phone book of course. But what if you could be in your office without really being there? This is the P800.

The features on this phone are so impressive and all of them work so well. It is a phone with PDA functions. It has 12MB Internal memory to store all contacts, user data, images, messages, third party applications etc. And the supplied Memory Stick Duo gives it virtually "unlimited" external memory!!

With the cool open Symbian OS, the operation is so smooth and features are very accessible and easy to use.

It has a 208 x 320 pixels (Flip Open) and 208 x 144 (Flip Closed) Electroluminiscent, Anti Reflective, Touch Screen with 4,096 Colour depth!

Has a built-in camera which supports pictures upto 640 x 480 px with 16 million colors. Unlike the Nokia, the pictures taken using the P800 are crisp and perfectly balanced. A Picture Album for easy viewing. Supports JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF (including animated), MBM, WBMP.

Has a built in Audio Player which supports MP3, WAv, AU, AMR, G-MIDI with 16 voice Polyphony RMF.

Has a built in Video Player which supports MP4.

It supports download of third party applications (Java, C++) which means u can download games and applications. The possibilities are endless!

Comes with Chess, Men In Black, Stunt Run games installed and u can add as many games as u like.

The built-in browser supports HTML, CHTML, XHTML, WBXML, WML.

Has "Flight mode" so u can still use your PDA functions in areas where phone use is restricted!

Supports Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF, Rich Text Format, Project, Visio, WordPerfect, Corel Presentations, Lotus 123, ZIP, Quatrro Pro, CGM, PCX, Fax... etc, etc...

And then of course it is also packed with standard stuff like SMS, EMS, MMS, e-mail (POP3/SMTP/IMAP3/MIME attachements), Wap 2.0, GPRS, HSCSD.

Has Speaker phone.

Has Bluetooth and Infrared for connectivity. Has all the basic PIM functions like contacts, calendar, synchronization.

I, actually, might have left out a few of the features. But now you decide, is there something else u need?

Take it from me, the P800 is the absolute best.
