I order a maxi dress from dorothy perkins online at the beginning of april, working full time in an office its common for me to spend my lunch hour making only purchases. I paid for express delivery and the goods we delivered as stated, there was nothing wrong what so ever with the dress in fact it was lovely unfortunately it was too big for. I decided to return the item to my local Swindon branch. I retunred the dress on a saturday and expected them to be busy, however I did note there a was a slight que rather than adding more people to the tills two of the girls working had gather behind counter talking about what they were buying to wear on there night out on that evening. This itself was frustrating!! When I handed the item to the girl for a refund she tutted and said oh not another one ... this was rude to say the least.. I was then asked why I wanted to return the item I explained I had ordered the wrong size and didn't want to wait for a new one, there wasn't the same dress available in this branch. I handed the girl my invoice for the order and she noted that it was the wrong invoice ... when we look at the invoice I had been sent another persons invoice. The girl said she couldn't refund without the invoice I asked how I could get one as it was there mistake ... the young girl called over her manager an older women who had been one of the women who had been discussing what top she was going to purchase for her night out!! Her response to me there was nothing she could do and I quote this was partly my fault as I had not checked my invoice fully, she then walked off without a word. I then asked if the info they need would be on the confirmation email I was sent and if I gave them that would that be sufficient, the girl said yes .. luckliy like I have an iphone so was able to bring the email up there an then. I left the store feeling really annoyed at how rude the manager in particular had been to me. I have included all of her comments or constant tuts and eye rolls. I was also a little miffed that my personal details had been posted to another person. I phoned there customer service help line later that day, and spoke to a advisor who didn't understand my problem as the matter had been resolved (meaning the refund has been done) I explained I was now more angry about how rude their staff was again he didn't think was fair, I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to and was advise that no supervisors were available over the weekend and I would get a call back on Monday. This never happend I have phoned twice a week since and have yet to receive a call back!! I have not shopped with Dorothy Perkins since, nor have any of my friends I will refuse to until they take the treatment of their customers seriously!!
