General Comments
I got SCP Hair Straighteners Mk 5.2a for Xmas last year as a gift from my mum. She always went on to me about how she wasn't going to fork out £90+ on a hair appliance and I thought that was fair enough. She didn't want me to see the straighteners, she wanted them to be a surprise so I had no idea which one I was going to get.

I received them at Xmas and was delighted ! My hair is thick and curly and in my opinion damn annoying sometimes ! That morning it was just as usual so I plugged in the straighteners and thought they they were fantastic compared to my old ones.

The problem is after only a few months they did not straighten as well as they once did.

The first period of use they worked great only having to go over the piece of hair just once or twice. After a while I found myself going over and over and over the same piece of hair again and again. One morning I was straightening my hair twice as long as usual because the straighteners were giving up. My hair was even roughly straight that morning and it took an extra 20 mins ! In the end when I got my hair acceptable -barely- I went outside and within about 20 mins doing not much but reading outside in the garden my hair went curly again !! The weather wasn't humid or hot either. It was a very mild day ! That was when I finally gave up on them.
