Good Points
As a pub, very good. Food was good with fair sized portions.

Bad Points
As an Inn, I would not stay there again and would not recommend it to others. We were kept awake half the night even after I banged on the door of the staff quarters at 1 in the morning, asking them to be quiet.

General Comments
We went up on the Friday night 07/12/08, and that evening some of the staff came in drunk and were playing music and talking very loud until I went to see them at 1 in the morning. Even after that, loud talking on and off throughout the night woke us at 2.30 then 4 am.

Although it might have been a one off by one of their staff acting the fool, what made it worse is that the next morning the manager gave the impression she had heard the noise, but didn't do any thing about it at the time. That was left for me the paying guest to do.

This is a real shame, as last time I was there it was very very good, but I understand it has changed hands since then.
