Good Points
Olympus IS 300 is quite a robust camera. It being a Compact SLR, it comes with a fixed lens (28-120). It also gives good results while shooting in the dark.

Bad Points
But the problem in the dark is with its display panel - it doesn't have a backlit feature so customising the settings is a big hastle as the dials and the settings are not visible until there is sufficient light.

General Comments
For casual photographers and freshers the Olympus IS 300 QD 35mm SLR camera is a good and sturdy camera. It will give u a good idea of shutter speed and aperture.
