For a "compact" camera, the Canon PowerShot S5 IS is very good and versatile. Tilt/Swiwel LCD; Good zoom range; Image stabilization; Good grip; Great video performance; Many manual controls; Flash hot shoe. Mediocre wide angle (36mm equiv.); button layout; Buttons lack sensitivity; Mediocre continuous shooting; Ridiculous lens cap
