Good Points
Small, light weight, good battery life, clear hi-res display, good selection of alarms and tools.
Bad Points
Earpiece volume could be a little louder. Only two programmable short-cuts. Quite high LCD image persistance (acceptable at highest contrast, though).
General Comments
I bought the Sagem MY 3078 phone to repalce my old Motorola V3690 which finally stopped working after 3 years daily use. Coming from the Motorola, the little Sagem had quite a lot to live up to as I had been very pleased with the V3690's functionality.
Pleasingly, the Sagem MY 3078 (which I picked up from eBay) seemed to have all the features I liked from the Motorola, with the added bonus of a higher resolution display and a much improved battery life.
This phone doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the newer phones, such as a colour screen, downloadable games, or polyphonic ring tones. However, it does have lots of useful features, such as an alarm, calculator, currency converer, vibration alert and a few games for those of who like that sort of thing.
In summary, this phone is extremely portable (slightly smaller than the Motorola V series), has a very good standby time (quoted at around 7 days), and is packed with plenty of useful features.
For those of you who don't buy phones based on what gimmicks they have, but rather based on everyday usability, this phone is a gem.
