The food is expensive and poor

General Comments
Having waited over an hour for our order we expected good fayre. Unfortunately, this was not to be. No one in a party of 11, plus children, enjoyed their meals at The Wheatsheaf Inn in Onneley, which were quite expensive for what they were; ie Cod in batter (fish in there somewhere), dry mushy peas and burnt chips - £11.95. We would have been better going to a Fish and Chip Shop, which would have been better value and the food would have been edible. Also, the service was poor. One of us ordered Parma Ham, but got Bacon, as they had run out of Parma, but they didn't tell us until we queried it!! And there was one waitress who had to do a lot of apologising. We went to pay individually, but we were told we couldn't. I insisted on this, and they eventually relented. This experience ruined a grand-daughters 2nd Birthday. Will never go again.
