I have not purchased an item via this retailers website therefore cannot comment on the delivery, etc. However, I would like to write a review about the standard of customer service within the Birmingham Bullring Republic store. The customer service was appalling, I was left to wait with one other person in front of me.
The store was not vastly packed, the sales assistant at the till gave a look as if to say what are you here for? - despite myself being of the target market which this brand aims to attract, young, atheltic and in late teens to mid 20's - and the manager stood at the side of the checkout discussing her latest social event, 'a foam party' yet had to walk past myself to help the sales assistant on the till deal with the customer ahead of me.
Instead of serving me in the overly heated store that was so hot, other customers and myself were sweating profusely, she proceeded to walk past me and continue her conversation with another member of staff at the side of the checkout whilst the assistant working the checkout left. Following waiting a few more minutes in the que and growing increasingly irate at being left in the que and not being served I assumed that the colleague she was talking to was coming to serve me after walking behind the checkout, he then however picked up an item of stock from the checkout, looked at me waiting and proceeded to go back to his conversation with the manager - who could not have been any older than the age I am myself, 22.
By this point I had grown tired of waiting to be served and opted to place the items I was intending to buy on the shelf nearest the checkout. After leaving the que, the manager and this member of staff she was talking to ended their conversation and each went to do something else, moments after I left the que, the other sales assistant had not yet returned by this point. This customer service, unsatisfactory in my opinion, has since made me not want to ever enter a Republic store ever again.
