“I use my vehicle to accomplish difficult recoveries of...”

written by willwillfixit on 25/03/2007

Good Points
The design layout of the 75 series Land Cruiser is no longer used in the production of most modern vehicles. When this vehicle was designed and built every aspect was thought about. Not just a thrown together afterthought. You couldn't get a better vehicle to work on.

Bad Points
To go off-roading. When I imported it from Tokyo to the United Kingdom it was 15 years old, this vehicle is as good as any 2006 vehicle by far. Other than that I can't say it has any bad points whatsoever.

General Comments
I use my vehicle to accomplish difficult recoveries of stolen vehicles that somehow and up being taken to hard to get to places by people who have no regard or care of the stolen vehicle they have taken. This car earns its keep as well as being my day to day vehicle. I wouldn't leave home without. I have had roughly 65 offers to sell my vehicle and have refused them all. I really could see myself owning this vehicle for the next 25 years. As when it arrived from Japan it had only ever seen the sun. Covered 200,000kms and is still running driving, and looks about 3 years old. Just like they used to do when car manufacturers cared about how long your car should last. A 2.4 litre turbo engine is known as an engine that is bullet proof with regular oil changes. I have serviced these vehicles for the last 20 years and they don't require new components replacing other than general service items as long as you keep on top of them they don't let u down. I let my wife use it at weekends and it actually ended up being used as a rescue vehicle for some mountain climbers in wales. One year at the Glastonbury event I earned £700 towing vehicles of the car park that were submerged in water halfway up their doors. Drove mine out of water like a walk in the pond. These vehicles will become very hard to find in years to come. Buy one now whilst you still can. Three thousand pounds will get you a good one.
