Blue Air rating 0/5 but I have had to score them 1/5 for this system to accept my review. Blue Air Company policy manifests as: Admit no error, accept no responsibility. Weasel word wherever possible.



On April 2 we booked two return tickets for a September trip Larnaca - Warsaw. Early in August Blue Air cancelled our return flight saying we would have to return earlier if we wished to travel. We accepted rather than cancel and our trip was reduced from 10 days to 1 week.



On 8 September, the day of our outward journey, we arose at 3am for the 2 hour journey to Larnaca airport. On arrival at 0530 we were advised our flight had been cancelled the previous day. The Blue Air rep said they could not contact us as they didn't have our contact details. This despite our Blue Air e-tickets contained our telephone number, e-mail and postal addresses.



We were told we would be transferred to a flight with another airline. We had to wait until 0910 before we were told we would travel with Czech Airlines via Prague departing at 1630. At 1330 we were told we would not after all travel with Czech Airlines as the flight was fully booked. Four hours to discover this!



We were then told we may be able to travel with Malev via Budapest departing at 0430 the next morning but this would be subject to confirmation. We declined the proposal that we hang around until then on the off chance. Three flights had already been offered and then withdrawn, the thought of a further 15 hour wait to face the same situation was unacceptable, aside from which we now had no confidence, were Blue Air to get us to Warsaw that they would get us back in adequate time for arriving visitors.



Post event the attitude of Blue Air personnel has been appalling. They insist they telephoned us to advise flight cancellation. We were at home when they claimed they called and the telephone did not ring, what is more no message was left on our permanently attached answer phone.



Blue Air insist they met their obligations to find us alternative transit through the offer of flights with Malev. No such offer was made, merely an offer to us to hang around to see if space might prove to be available.



We suffered significant financial loss due to the failure of Blue Air to honour its obligations to us. Blue Air admit no error and accept no responsibility.



Needless to say, we will not deal with this shambles of a company again.
