Good Points
Easy to upgrade components
Has not actually failed or shut itself down since I got it

Bad Points
The processor leaves a lot to be desired
Vista makes it slow

General Comments
I bought the basic machine a couple years ago:

512MB DDR2 RAM

80GB HDD

AMD Sempron 3200+ processor

you know the rest

Anyway, I installed a proper graphics card first, as long as you make sure the games you buy don't require a processor higher than 1.8GHz, you're fine, although I do have a couple of games that require 2.0GHz but seem ok.

Also I bought 2x 1GB memory (which I installed alongside the original 512MB) this drastically improves the computer's performance and I highly recommend it, this will also solve any problems you have with using MSN as I did before upgrading the memory.

I will soon be adding a new hard drive (500GB) because the 77.6GB (even though it claims to be 80GB) really isn't enough.

I did have a problem with the DVD drive at one point, it stopped working, but if you go into the Device Manager and find the DVD drive there, it will tell you the problem, with a code eg: mine was code 39

You can just Google this and will find a solution that way, the solution I found was actually code 31, but it worked anyway

Other than that it has been a surprisingly good system, especially at the price, just make sure you upgrade the memory as soon as you can because with Vista running, you will need more than 512MB.
