“Parga is a visual treat with a lovely harbour...”

written by LJB. on 22/03/2003

Good Points
Beauty, harbour, area, shops, lots of places to visit. Castle.

Bad Points
Walk from apartment to town - 20 mins!

General Comments
Parga is a visual treat with a lovely harbour overlooked by a Venetian Castle. Parga has lots of shops and bars and restaurants to suit every taste. Wonderful winding streets. Visit Valtos or Lichnos beaches by water taxi. Go on a visit to Ali Pasha's fort but take plently of water, walk back to Anthousa a stay for a drink before asking directions home via the lemon groves into Valtos where you can catch the water taxi back to Parga.

Other trips include a boat trip to Anti Paxos and Paxos - not much there and a bit too long for a full day. Secret Epirus - oracle of the dead finishing off at Zalonga and the Acheron river - not for poor swimmers!
