General Comments
The Winchester Super X3 Field is basically a Browning made on the same production line as the Browing Gold, Phoenix & FNH SLP ( Self Loading Police) tactical shotgun.
This Weapon is therefore a European manufactured from FNH, Herstal Belgium.
The internals & in particular, the gas valve & breach block / extractor is the same as the other Browning's with exception to the Golds direct load to chamber facility.
Those who doubt the durability & quality should get themselves a IPSC shotgun safety course in the UK & try this weapon as a Section 1 firearm as a 9 plus1 for practical shotgun.
I have a 26" 3.5" chamber synthetic with competition additions for PSG.
This gun will shoot everything from 28gm light clay loads to 56gm full slug & it will do so with those cartridges fed in any order from the mag tube.
In fact, I honestly believe that it would chamber & shoot bananas & still eject the skins !
The rigours of Practical shotgun put far greater stress on a self loading shotgun than most other disciplines.
The rapid rate of fire & reloading will will find the limits of shot guns used for this discipline.
All you have to do is keep the weapon clean & free of excess powder residue.
This is a well made over engineered shotgun that is just coasting along in section 2 , 2 plus 1 for UK use.
