“Worst purchase / customer service experinece of my life”

Worst purchasing and customer experience of my life:

1.Bought washing machine on 3rd Jan and informed I would be contacted re delivery
2.Was never contacted re delivery and had moved house in the meantime
3. Called Currys to chase early March and set up delivery. Currys would not change delivery address was told someone would have to be at the now vacated property to receive order
4. Arranged delivery and had to ask my elderly mother to sit in the empty property to receive order
5. After my elderly mother sat in an empty flat for a day we called Currys to be told that the item was NEVER IN STOCK!!!!!!!
6. Was informed to go in store to change address and arrange redelivery
7. Currys (Basingstoke store) cancelled and reordered washing machine but informed me that items were still in transit to the UK and I would be compacted at the end of March for delivery
8. No contact from Currys
9. Visited Basingstoke store again on 7th April to chase
10. Was informed that Currys had cancelled my second order the day after it had been made instore
11. Currys had no explanation for why they had done this and why no one had contacted me to tell me that they had cancelled my order but was offered £20 as a gesture
12. New delivery date set up 11th April instore. Called and spoke to customer services prior to this to make complaint request compensation. As a gesture of good will I asked for the washing machine to be installed free of charge to which the customer service assistant agreed, promising a call back to confirm. Never received call back.
13. Washing machine delivered this morning but there was no note of free installation and therefore it is sat in the middle of the kitchen
14. Called Currys customer service who could again offered no explanation or helpful advice only a installation in 2 days time for which I would have to take additional time off work for.

I am not sure you could have a poorer experience and receive poorer service...

Lack (zero) of communication with their customer, lack of care, lack of compassion and understanding. It is up to me to chase my complaint and was told the do not give compensation only gestures. It is worth noting that Currys has had my money since 3rd of January...
