“Let the early arrivals into the car park so they dont...”

Good Points
Me and the missus + some friends (age range 28 -56yrs) travelled up from kent to try out Glastonbudget and had a fantastic weekend!
The weather was lousy!.cold windy and sometimes very wet,but luckily we had from sound advice from our kids and younger friends and were fully equipped with full wet weather gear, wet wipes, extra toilet paper and all the litlle extras one should take.(thank you all consultants) .Note ALWAYS get seasoned festival goers advice if its your first time).
there were so many good things going on.
Real ale and plenty of it ...mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. good prices too! my poor liver will take weeks to recover.
Food.....excellent! the cajun and creole spicy stuff especially!
plus all the usual burgers+ chips etc. All nicely priced and tasty too (your burgers shamed the rubbish we (dont)eat in Kent. (darn Sarf). Chinese, fresh donuts, curry, coffes,teas..... all ther e and all luvverly! Well done the grub merchants.
Music.....What can I say?... brilliant!..I even liked the bands that covered bands i dont like (so much better live innit?)
I am now converted to Ska....."madness" and Bad Manners on Sunday were fantastic ....two brilliant bands to wind up the festival.( the trouble is...at 56 i should'nt be dancing like that ...my knees are killing me!)
I could go on forever but to sum up ....they were all excellent for quality, style and entertainment etc, etc.
You could get right up to the stage if you wanted, the sound system was good quality, with only two (very short) power failures......which brings me to the crowd......what a bunch of fantastic nutters!.....power failures Pah! the crowd just carried on singing whilst the technicians put another 50p in the meter (dont technicians run fast when it suddenly goes all quiet!) And the festival costumes!...pirates, 6ft ballet dancers in tu-tu's, Ska boys (is that what they're called....I dunno....)and as for the manchester gay convention....how on earth did that fellah wear those 4(?) inch heels on wet grass.... the wife was most impressed (but was jealous of your legs!) Thinks....must think of a theme for our gang next year.
All in all an amazing experience. I am absolutely knackered and will have to have a few early nights to get over it (should have done this when we were younger.)
P.S. well done the toilet cleaners....you earn every penny!!...yuck!

Bad Points
Silly people who sit in their tents and scream all the time........????
The thieving toerags who went round on the first night raiding tents,Beware keep your valuables deep inside the tent with you and if someone comes in your tent in the night warn the neighbours!

General Comments
Let the early arrivals into the car park so they dont block the road with their cars...And us new boys can have a beer with the old hands and get some tips while waiting for the their wristbands.

Could we have a map of the site on the web next time ?....so we can camp in a quieter (family?) corner and maybe get some sleep.......(us "olds" cant keep up with the late night revellers any more!)
