Good Points
faster than the 1280
prints will last longer

General Comments
When getting the Epson Stylus Photo 1400 order extra Inks.
Some have bad chips.
They will send you new ones free, but that takes time and you sit without a printer, waiting. 2 of the inks that came with it were bad and they had to send me new ones.
It sounded like others were having the same problem.
luckily I had ordered extras with the printer, so I didn't have to wait to get started.
