We are a family of four with kids aged 7 and 5.
We stayed at Santa Fe for 3 nights. Even the broken lights in the room couldn't hide the grime. Some staff were rude...even to the point of laughing at us on a couple of occassions. There is an outdoors walk from the rooms to the hotel facilities (restaurant, bar etc)which is annoying in bad weather. The queue for breakfast was massive. Breakfast itself is all cold...ham, bread, cheese. Reasonable quality but very basic. No decaf coffee by the way.
I guess the walk from the hotel to the park gates is over a kilometer. After that and a long queue for breakfast you don't really feel set up for a day hiking round the parks.
On departure the receptionist asked his routine question.."Did you have a good trip"
"No, not really" my wife replied.
"Perfect" said the receptionist with a cheesy smile.
That about sums it up...they don't listen and just follow the script.
