Tried so many times to order online with River island with never any success at checkout. Tried 2 weeks ago to order a dress for my daughter's 16th, every time I got to checkout, I was able to get so far only to be told transaction not authorised. Went back to start 15 times to be told the same thing. Decided to transfer money into my mums account so she could pick it up from a shop (I live in Australia), only to be told by bank that the amount of the order had been taken out of my account the 15 times I had tried and put into a pending account. They told me we would have to wait 1 week for the money to be returned. Should've known better I never had any success buying online when I was in UK but never knew the money is actually taken from your account every time you try and put in a holding account!
