This de-humidifier is expensive but I purchased it based on the name of Ebac, the fact it had two years guarantee, and that the company is UK based. Big mistake! Original one received was faulty on receipt and had clearly already been out to a customer before, item was therefore returned. Item replaced and admittedly worked well for six months (though it is not a quiet machine and has vibration issues that could have easily been resolved in the original design). However, have gone to use it this winter only to discover the thing has packed up working completely simply through lack of use for a few months. Worryingly, Ebac are considered one of the best manufacturers of dehumidifiers. Avoid this product, worst purchase I have ever made.
