General Comments
This is the best washing machine I have ever had, after several machines (all Hotpoint) over 30 years. I can't understand the poor reviews. Ours has never broken down after 18 months of daily use; maybe we've been lucky. It has a high capacity in a standard casing, is very quiet, washes thoroughly and has a wide range of programmes. This includes "bed bath" which does a 60 C wash suitable for lightly used bedding (1 week) in under 2 hours, shorter than the normal 60 C wash of 2 hours 25 minutes. It has a timer telling you how long before the wash ends, although it gets a bit inaccurate near the end.
