SELLING NEAR EXPIRED PET MEDS????
I purchased a two pack of "Preventic" Tick Collars for my Belgian Shephard on 1/10/11 and received them promptly.
The VIRBAC "Preventic" collars had an expiration date of March 2011- which is 48 days after I received them. As each collar is for 3 months; the collars would be, according to the manufacturer, ineffective 6 weeks into the first collar.
As a Pharmaceutical Scientist this is a very serious offense to sell "near expired" drugs.
Usually drugs will have 1 to 3 years of shelf life left
Not 48 days.
The Customer Service Rep refused to send me new collars and I informed him to note the "lot/ batch" number of the collars so the could be pulled from the warehouse inventory and not sold as new.
He seemed indifferent and did not offer to send new collars.
I will not use Entirely Pets for the reason that they are selling medicines that have barely 6 weeks of shelf life left on a protect that is designed for a half year of use.
